As part of the Kaufman County Large Diameter Transition Main project, the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) has required the City of Mesquite to purchase wetland mitigation credits to compensate for impacts to USACE jurisdictional wetlands.
Financial Implications
Funding is allocated for the credit purchase in the Kaufman County Large Diameter Transmission Main project fund.
Recommended/Desired Action
Staff recommends the City Manager be authorized to finalize and execute the Credit Sales Agreement with Red Oak Umbrella Mitigation, Ltd.
