The cost of medical supplies to stock ambulances to properly care for the citizens and visitors to the City of Mesquite continues to rise. The City of Midlothian has an existing agreement with Bound Tree Medical, LLC, (Bound Tree) that guarantees EMS supply costs for the duration of the agreement. Given the existing interlocal cooperative purchasing agreement with the City of Midlothian, the Mesquite Fire Department desires to enter into the Bound Tree EMS supply agreement currently in effect with the City of Midlothian.
Financial Implications
The City of Midlothian’s agreement with Bound Tree expires February 10, 2023, with the option of three additional one-year renewals under the same terms.
Recommended/Desired Action
Staff recommends the City Council authorize the City Manager to execute a contract with Bound Tree Medical, LLC.
