Conduct a public hearing and consider an ordinance for Zoning Application No. Z0321-0184, submitted by Richard Haness, on behalf of Kodiak Capital Partners, LLC, for a change of zoning from Commercial with Military Parkway-Scyene Corridor Overlay to Planned Development - Industrial and removal of the Military Parkway-Scyene Corridor Overlay to allow an office and warehouse/distribution with light manufacturing development, located at 1030 West Scyene Road.
(No responses in favor or in opposition to the application have been received from property owners within the statutory notification area. The Planning and Zoning Commission recommends approval with certain stipulations.)
Body
The applicant proposes the relocation of their security business from Sunnyvale to the subject property. The company, Security Brands, Inc., provides security equipment and monitoring. At this location, they will assemble some electronic parts, have a call center and distribute their product. The applicant indicated not more than three heavy load vehicles would come to the facility on a typical day.
On April 12, 2021, the Planning and Zoning Commission voted unanimously to approve a change of zoning from Commercial with Military Parkway-Scyene Corridor Overlay to Planned Development - Industrial and removal of the Military Parkway-Scyene Corridor Overlay.
Recommended/Desired Action
Following the public hearing, Staff recommends approval of the ordinance.
