H.W. Lochner was selected as the engineer of record for the Mesquite Metro Airport through TxDOT’s Aviation Division in 2016. This is a five-year contract which expires on May 15, 2021.
With this contract H.W. Lochner will provide engineering, design, and material testing services for the construction of a 15,000-square-foot hangar at the Mesquite Metro Airport, which was approved in this year’s capital improvement budget.
Financial Implications
This contract will be funded through the sale of bonds with the annual debt service payments covered by the Airport’s operating budget.

Staff recommends approval to authorize the City Manager to negotiate and finalize all documents.
