Approval of the proposed Community Development Block Grant - COVID-19 (CDBG-CV) Budget for Fiscal Year 2021-2022.

The City of Mesquite received a total of $1,583,307.00 in Community Development Block Grant - COVID-19 (CDBG-CV) from the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act. Funds are for emergency assistance to individuals, families, public service agencies and small businesses directly impacted by COVID-19. In fiscal years 2020 and 2021, a total of $717,500.00 were allocated to agencies that address housing, food security, domestic violence, youth, and mental health needs.
The following budget for the remainder of Fiscal Year 2021 is being recommended:

PUBLIC NOTICE REQUIREMENTS
As required, a Public Notice was published on June 10, 2021, in the Daily Commercial Record newspaper and posted on the City’s website for a comment period for the proposed budget allocations from June 14, 2021 - June 18, 2021. The proposed Budget will be made available for public viewing in the Community Service’s building lobby and on the City’s website.
