An ordinance amending Chapter 10.5 of the City Code regarding park hours and alcohol possession, consumption and sale in parks and facilities.
Body
This ordinance will amend the current City park hours to close at 10 p.m. and will prohibit the consumption of alcohol in City Parks, with the exception of beer and wine allowed at the Mesquite Golf Course and Mesquite Arts Center. The Parks and Recreation Director will have the authority to designate the use of wine or champagne for toasting at select recreation reservation facilities. City sponsored events or use of park facilities may be exempted from these requirements upon approval by the Parks and Recreation Director.

Staff recommends approval of the ordinance.
