This request is for the purchase of two trailer-based camera systems to deter criminal activity.  These camera systems will be moveable as needed to address identified hotspots of crime. The Mesquite Police Department (MPD) currently has two trailer-based camera systems in their fleet and the new camera systems will allow MPD to further expand their footprint into more neighborhoods and retail areas.

 

Financial Implications

On October 4, 2021, the confiscated seizure fund was approved and the funds for a camera system were secured.

 

Recommended/Desired Action

Staff recommends award to Wireless CCTV.
