Authorize the City Manager to finalize and execute Amendment No. 2 to the Lawson Road Tributary Sanitary Sewer and Drainage Improvements contract with Garver, LLC, for McKenzie Road alignment study, in the amount of $74,030.00.
Body
On March 4, 2019, the City Council approved a contract to conduct surveying and engineering studies for the Lawson Road Tributary Sanitary Sewer and Drainage Improvements, in the amount of $204,944.50.
Amendment No. 1 added additional services to determine the size of the proposed channel to contain the 100-year fully developed discharge within the channel. In addition, Garver revised the Sanitary Sewer Conceptual Design/Route Study to incorporate the findings of the 2021 Mesquite Wastewater Masterplan. Amendment No. 1 was approved by City Council on April 5, 2021, in the amount of $70,486.00.
Amendment No. 2 is to perform an alignment study on McKenzie Road between Faithon P. Lucas, Sr., Boulevard and Lasater Road/Lawson Road.
Financial Implications
Project will be funded through reserve funds in Capital Projects and later reimbursed by IH-20 Business Park TIRZ No.12 when TIRZ funds are available.
Recommended/Desired Action
Staff recommends the City Manager be authorized to finalize and execute Amendment No. 2 with Garver, LLC.
