Body

Mesquite Independent School District (MISD) proposes to renovate the existing Mesquite Academy building on the subject property and to construct a separate gymnasium on the site.  MISD also proposes to renovate the other building located on the property and relocate the Learning Center along with Library Services and Instructional Technology to the site.

 

On October 25, 2021, the Planning and Zoning Commission voted unanimously to approve Application No. Z1021-0222, for a change in zoning General Retail to General Retail with a Conditional Use Permit to allow school uses.

 

Recommended/Desired Action

Following the public hearing, staff recommends approval of the ordinance.
