This contract will provide localized concrete repair for street pavement, sidewalks, curb and gutters and curb ramps to rehabilitate and repair streets selected for repair within the Real. Texas. Roads. Street bond program. Work is expected to begin in January 2022 and will take approximately 6 months to complete.
The rehabilitation method that will be used is Localized Full-Depth Concrete Repair, which consists of the removal and replacement of selected street and sidewalk panels and segments that are in moderate to severe condition. The concrete identified for replacement will vary in size and length. After the concrete is removed and replaced, the contractor will grade, place sod and clean up the area disturbed by the construction. The location of the streets targeted for rehabilitation are shown on the attached location map.
Bid notices were broadcast through the Periscope Holdings electronic bidding system, posted on the City’s website and published in the Daily Commercial Record newspaper. A total of ten responsive bids were received. Staff has reviewed references and other qualification information submitted and recommends award of the base bid to Estrada Concrete Company, LLC.
Financial Implications
Funding has been allocated for this project from Street Bonds funds.
