This bid is for the purchase of Fire Department uniform and clothing items to Galls, LLC, an approved vendor of the North Central Texas Council of Governments (NCTCOG). All fire Department uniform and clothing are made available for purchase on the Mesquite Fire Department’s (MFD) Quartermaster System, which allows fire department personnel to purchase Department attire, as needed, through their annual allowance. Within the MFD Quartermaster System, Galls, LLC provides users with exclusive access to a customized website to purchase MFD-approved uniforms and clothing. This interface automatically updates all users’ annual uniform allowances based upon purchases made and also allows the MFD Department Administrator to review and approve individual orders prior to order processing. The term of this contract is for a one-year period, with four additional one-year renewal options.
Financial Implications
The annual purchase of clothing and uniforms has been approved as part of the Fiscal Year 2021-22 Operating Budget.
Recommended/Desired Action
Staff recommends the City Manager be authorized to execute a contract with Galls, LLC, an approved vendor of NCTCOG, through NCTCOG Contract No. 2021-073.
