Title

A resolution authorizing the City Manager to execute a release and abandonment of Twin Oaks Drive Drainage Easement Tracts (Tract No. 1 through Tract No. 6) along Twin Oaks Drive southwest of Cartwright Road and dedication by the final plat of Twin Oaks Drive Right-of-Way as recorded in Volume 2003194, Page 160, Map Records, Dallas County, Texas.

Body

The final plat of Twin Oaks Drive Right-of-Way as recorded in Volume 2003194, Page 160, Map Records, Dallas County, Texas, was dedicated for the construction of Twin Oaks Drive. Part of the plat included six Drainage Easement Tracts (Tract No. 1, Tract No.2, Tract No.3, Tract No.4, Tract No.5 and Tract No.6) which were required for drainage improvements outside of the Twin Oaks Drive Right-of-Way.

With the development of Solterra subdivision Phases 1A and 1B, the Twin Oaks Drive Easement Nos. 1 through No. 6 will not be required and need to be abandoned for the purpose of platting the new subdivisions.

The subject properties are no longer needed for public purposes and it is in the public interest of the City to abandon the subject properties. No facilities owned by the City or any other party are or will be in the six drainage easements. Abandoning the subject properties will allow for the proper platting of Solterra Phases 1A and 1B.
