Title

An ordinance repealing Section 3, Authorization of Updated Service Credits, of Ordinance No. 4983, which adopted the 2022-23 Pay Plan, in order to eliminate potential conflict with Ordinance No. 4611, which provides ongoing updated service credits.

Body

On September 6, 2022, Council approved and adopted Ordinance No. 4983 adopting a 2022-23 Pay Plan and provided for Authorization of Updated Service Credits. On October 1, 2018, Council approved and adopted Ordinance No. 4611 that provided an allowance for updated service credits under the Texas Municipal Retirement System (TMRS) Act on subsequent years until Ordinance No. 4611 ceases to be in effect. Seeing as these two items are in conflict, this ordinance removes and repeals the conflicting language from Ordinance No. 4983.
