This project is part of the Real. Texas. Roads. Street Bond Program and provides for the repair and replacement of concrete pavement, curb and gutter, driveway approaches and sidewalks, as well as water lines, throughout the Eastridge Park and Byrd Estates neighborhoods and segments of Viva Drive, Catalina Drive and Flamingo Way. Work is expected to begin in January 2023 and will take one year to complete.

Streets in the Eastridge Park neighborhood, Viva Drive and Catalina Drive, will be repaired using the full reconstruction method, which involves removing the entire street, mixing and compacting the subgrade material, and rebuilding a new street with curb and gutter. Streets in the Byrd Estates neighborhood and Flamingo Way will be repaired using the localized concrete repair method, which involves removing and replacing sections of street with moderate to severe pavement failure while leaving sections that are in good condition in place. Pedestrian curb ramps, sections of sidewalks and driveway approaches will be repaired, as needed, throughout the entire project area. Water lines that are undersized and/or in poor condition will also be replaced on selected streets. After all work is complete, the contractor will grade, place new sod and clean up the areas that were disturbed by the construction. A list indicating the street segments included in the project, as well as a location map, are attached.
