The City of Mesquite implemented the Tyler Enterprise ERP application (Munis) as the City’s financial system in 2013, and later added the Tyler Enterprise Permitting & Licensing Software (Energov), and Municipal Justice 9 Suite (Municipal Court).  Due to application upgrades and changes in technologies, the City needs to acquire Tyler’s Application Programming Interfaces (API’s) to enable advanced third-party applications real-time connection to the Tyler systems and associated data.  The API toolkit bundles will integrate with the Tyler Enterprise ERP, the Tyler Enterprise Permitting & Licensing Software, and the Municipal Justice 9 suite.

In addition to more effective and efficient processing streams, these API’s will enable improved service deliveries to citizens, customers, and internal staff.  Several areas in the operations of City services will benefit by the API toolkits including Finance, IT, Parks and Recreation, Public Works, GIS, etc.

Recommended/Desired Action

Staff recommends award to Tyler Technologies, Inc.
