This request is for the purchase of 100 Glock 17 Gen 5 9mm pistols, stream-light rail-mounted lights and holsters for the Police Department as part of the service pistol replacement program. On October 17, 2022, Seizure Amendment No. 1 to the State Seizure fund budget was approved by City Council. The amendment included a request for service pistol replacements in the amount of $150,000.00. The service pistol replacement is a multi-phased replacement of all current service pistols which includes new pistols, lights, iron sights, duty holsters, optics, and ammunition for training.
