A resolution adopting the 2022 City of Mesquite Parks, Recreation and Open Space Master Plan.

In order to satisfy the needs of the growing community and stay current with the changing expectations of the citizens, staff contracted Dunaway and Associates to develop a Parks and Open Space Master Plan. This plan is intended to guide the development and growth of the City’s parks and recreation services for approximately the next ten years. The Master Plan includes an inventory of current park facilities, an evaluation of recreation programs and current maintenance standards as well as recommendations based on citizen feedback. Having a Parks and Open Space Master Plan will also assist staff with budget forecasting and seeking grant funding.

A hard copy of the Parks Master Plan has been provided to Councilmembers.
Recommended/Desired Action
